“We want a cultural shift in the world of polo” That was the ask from Valiente and Grand Champions Polo Club when they wanted to create the World Polo League. The WPL is poised to take the reigns of the polo world and become a fore-runner in the fastest game on grass.
What’s the difference between the WPL and other polo? The number 26. They play what is known as 26-goal polo, this means that they can have more higher-ranked players on each team. The league features the best in the world in fact. They’re also riding the fastest horses in game, bred, and sometimes cloned, specifically to play. More skill. More speed. More excitement.
So they wanted to trade in preppy for swagger. And while the play was elite, the culture would be approachable, fun, vibrant, playful, sexy. The new school of polo,—wild yet refined.
The result was an outspoken brand. that was definitely not your father’s polo. Our work included Brand positioning, identity, style guides, apparel, brand launch campaign etc.
